Comet / 2001 Q4 Neat
On Sunday 17th May 04  my friend Peter Vasey invited me  to his home and Observatory in Hexham in order to view and image Comet Neat.  Here are my humble results.

Comet  C/2004 Q2  Machholtz & Pleiades 

HX516 CCD Camera & 35mm Lens.  10 x 2 min (L)  & 1 x 2min for RGB  (Jessops filters).

Venus Transit : 8th June 04

 

Occultation of Jupiter : 26th January 02,  LX90 & Olympus C-700uz

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  Location :       Hexham, Northumberland, North-East England.

 Sky Conditions    Pretty Lousy, Mist & Fog, and Total cloud cover.   However, there  were a few rare glimpses lasting no more than   30 seconds or so when the Sun tried to break the cloud cover and I managed to get these 3 dismal images.
The above images were taken using a Olympus C700UZ digital camera, eyepiece projection using a 25mm Plossl & Nexstar 8 GPS SCT Telescope.

Prime focus using a HX516 ccd camera on a LX90 telescope, 15th March 03

 

 

 

All Images were taken with a Olympus C700UZ Digital Camera attached to a LX90 using a 40mm eyepiece.
